Epithelium is a short comic about searching for meaning in the aftermath of an abusive relationship. Drawing on my own experiences as a survivor of domestic abuse, I wanted to explore the often not talked about desire to lose yourself to the concept of an unattainable revenge and how important it is to not to walk that path.
This is an ugly comic about being tainted with thoughts of hatred and revenge, about being ruined on the inside, but ultimately about looking deep within and choosing not to become a monster.
